Dahlia

Dahlia flowers come in varying shades of white, yellow, orange, red, pink and purple depending on its variety. Blooms also vary in size depending on the variety and can range from 5 centimeters to 30 centimeters in diameter. Numerous delicate petals encircle a central yellow core known as the capitulum or floral head. Dahlia flowers may have a floral sweet pea scent though most are scentless. Its flavor is very mild and grassy. Dahlia flower season begins in early spring and continues through summer into early fall.
